The original dancing shoe.
A soft, supple little pump worn for all manner of traditional dancing – Scottish, Irish – the ghillie style was first designed to be worn by servants yomping across the highlands to deliver messages. The long laces wrapped around the ankle to stop them being pulled off in the mud. Eventually the look evolved into an elegant slipper.
Thankfully you don’t have to do a Highland Fling to get your hands on a pair. And as part of our summer collection the chances of you wading through the mud in your ghillie style Corsio Dallas sandal is slim. But if you fancy getting into a holiday mood and dancing the night away, well, we’re not going to stop you.
